Clashes broke out between the Syrian Transitional Government forces and the National Defense Forces around the town of Welga, west of Suwayda city on Wednesday night. According to local sources, successive explosions were heard in the area, followed by intense gunfire.

This morning (October 9), they carried out a drone attack loaded with explosives on the Welga road, located south of the city.

In the attack, a young man named Rabih Hilal Murshid lost his life, and seven people were injured.

Sources from Suwayda Hospital stated that Murshid, who was severely wounded, could not be saved despite all medical efforts. It was also reported that the seven injured individuals were transferred to the village of Sela after receiving initial treatment.
