Hatimoğulları and Bakırhan meet with representatives of Alevi institutions

During the meetings between DEM Party Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan and representatives of Alevi institutions, discussions were held on the problems faced by Alevis and the Peace and Democratic Society Process.

The Co-Chairs of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, met with Alevi organizations and institutions at the DEM Party Headquarters in Ankara on Thursday.

Hatimoğulları and Bakırhan were accompanied by a delegation consisting of Yüksel Mutlu, Co-Spokesperson of the Peoples' Faiths Commission, Zeyno Bayramoğlu, member of the Party Council, and Ayten Kordu, Member of Parliament for Dersim.

The delegation included Mustafa Aslan, President of the Alevi Bektaşi Federation (ABF); Hüseyin Mat, President of the Confederation of Alevi Unions in Europe (AABK); Zeynel Abidin Koç, President of the Federation of Alevi Associations (ADEF); Ercan Geçmez, President of the Hacı Bektaş-i Veli Anatolian Cultural Foundation (HBVAKV); Muzaffer Başboğa, Deputy President of the Alevi Cultural Associations (AKD); Cuma Erçe, President of the Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Association (PSAKD); and Mehmet Gündüz, President of the Alevi Associations in France.

During the meetings, the problems faced by Alevis were discussed and opinions were exchanged. In addition, discussions were held on the ongoing Peace and Democratic Society Process.
